Traditional local free house in a 200-year-old sandstone building close to West Kirby centre. A five-minute walk from fine views of the Welsh hills, and Marine Lake, the Promenade and beach are also within easy walking distance. A warm, welcoming retreat, especially in the colder months with a real fire by the bar – perfect after that Wirral Way ramble. An ever-changing range of guest beers is on offer and food is served lunchtimes (not Sun). Quiz night is Monday.
